What is the C4?

At Luther Memorial, our mission is to serve the following "C's":

Campus, Community, Country, Continents

CAMPUS

LMC loves to serve the UWRF College Students!

CAMPUS MINISTRY

COMMUNITY

LMC Serves the community by partnering with many of the non-profits in River Falls: Tools for School, Options for Women, ARC, Our Neighbor's Place, Servant of the Shepherd Church, River Falls Food Pantry, The Free Clinic, The 2911 Project and more.  If you are looking for a way to get involved, we host many serving opportunities throughout the year, and we are happy to help you get in touch with the organizations directly to see how you can join the mission for those in need in the community.

COUNTRY

LMC Serves the Country by supporting Faith Comes by Healing- Bible Stick Ministry, and Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Prattville, AL.

CONTINENTS

LMC Serves the continents by having a close relationship with a Costa Rican church called Iglecia Uncion Y Fuego in Siquirres.  Pastor Luis and Pastora Adita have formed a relationship with Luther Memorial and we continue to travel there to love & serve them, and be loved in return.  If you would like to know more about this, check out the

LMC Serves the C4- Continents In

Costa Rica

LMC Serves the Continents through a connection with Iglecia Uncion Y Fuego in Siquirres Costa Rica.  

God is mightily at work through His church in Costa Rica and we are blessed to be able to partner with Pastor Luis and Pastora Adita. On mission trips we have a food ministry where we deliver and pray over 50 families in need, we host women's Bible study, men's Bible study, kids' VBS, and teens' Bible study.

Pastor Luis’s Story --- God’s Story

  • Donna Chavalita’s prophecy before Luis’s birth
  • God speaks to Luis as a child
  • Luis and Adita marry
  • God calls Luis to be a Pastor
  • God protects Pastor Luis from death threats
  • God tells Pastor Luis where He wants Iglesia Unción y Fuego to be built
  • God works to secure this property
  • God promises help from a foreign country
  • Luther Memorial sends the first foreign Mission Team to Costa Rica in 2018
  • Development of the Church compound occurs
  • Significant growth begins to occur
  • A house is built for a family of the church
  • God protects Pastor Luis and Iglesia Unción y Fuego from financial mismanagement by AIBC
  • Pastor Luis establishes Asociación Cristiana por Amor de Ti
  • More church families receive new houses or significant home restorations
  • Pastor Luis secures authorization to participate in the Costa Rica Food Shelf program
  • Iglesia Unción y Fuego becomes the center of focus in the community

THe 2911 Project

The 2911 Project is a non-profit organization providing safe and sober housing for those seeking a new life.

Mission Statement:

Turning Obstacles into Opportunities

Values:

  1. Unity!  Common welfare should come first
  2. God is our ultimate authority.  Leaders have been appointed, and act as servants NOT senators.
  3. Each home has a unified primary purpose: to create a safe and sober environment for those seeking recovery.
  4. Principles before personalities and we never take ourselves too seriously. 
  5. We carry our EXPERIENCE, STRENGTH, & HOPE in every interaction and in all affairs.
